Protect Yourself and Others from Norovirus

So, please take a minute to read the bulletin recently released by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services regarding the simple steps that all of us can take to protect ourselves and others from Norovirus.

Relatedly, on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s website, an article titled “Prevent the Spread of Norovirus”, explains that Noroviruses are a group of related viruses and the infection with these viruses causes gastroenteritis, which is inflammation of the stomach and intestines. This leads to stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Always remember:  It’s important to wash your hands often, always cook shellfish at the right temperature, rinse your fruits and vegetables thoroughly, and more.
